2011-08-03 LITOFINTER launches its fifth web press.

After two months of installation and assembly, on August 3rd it began commercial production of its fifth web press at the LITOFINTER facilities in San Fernando de Henares.

This is a Heidelberg M600 press, 16 pages per cylinder rotation of 50,000 RPH. The press is equipped with the latest automation, including automatic plate changing and automatic registration and intonation. The new machine, called CRONOS, has two folders capable of producing two products of 8 A4 pages simultaneously, of 100,000 copies per hour. Other productions available are 4 times 4 pages A4, 8 pages A3, 24 pages Delta format, 32 pages in A5 format.

Both folders are equipped additionally with delta and double parallel fold.

CRONOS is equipped with an integrated burner of fumes, minimising the emission of gases into the atmosphere, further enhancing the LITOFINTER environmental protection standards.

This investment allows LITOFINTER to meet the growing customer demand for lower production pages, while improving the technology and raise productivity.
